    The “Young Agripreneurs Cyprus” programme encourages young people to become entrepreneurs through the development of business plans which will result in an innovative agricultural product or service. The aim of the programme is to promote agricultural entrepreneurship among youth and inform young people about the benefits of the European Union’s Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) through the use of innovative and youth-friendly approaches.

    The programme is being implemented in the framework of the project CAPturing the Future Generation, which is funded by the IMCAP programme of the European Union.


    • University students and academics
    • Secondary school students and teachers


    • Training of the teams by specialists in areas such as:
      EU Common Agricultural Policy
      Agriculture-Livestock sector
      Cyprus agriculture
      Agriculture and tourism
      Development of business ideas/plans
      Creation of business teams
      Creation of business models
      Creation of business plans

    • Team support by specialists/mentors
      for the development of their business plan through

    • StartUp Competition:
      The programme will conclude with a competition among
      the teams, in which the three best teams with the best
      entrepreneurial ideas will be awarded.

    • Agricultural Entrepreneurship Conference:
      The conference will provide participants with a platform
      via which they will pitch their business plans to potential
      investors/businesses. The three winning teams will be
      announced at the conference.


    Interested parties should form groups of five (maximum) and one academic/teacher. The registration form must be completed here or downloaded and completed and sent by e-mail to: by 15 February 2021.
